The second highest grosser movie of 2022, “Jurassic World Dominion” or “Jurassic World 3” has now crossed $1B worldwide to become the second film after Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick to achieve this feat, this year.
It has completed almost three and half months run at the box office and still churning out moolah week in, week out. It is the sixth film in the Jurassic Park franchise and the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, it stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and DeWanda Wise in the key roles among others.

Jurassic World 3 Crosses $1B Worldwide
As per the box office tracker, The Numbers, Chris Patt’s starrer draws in another $3.8M dollar, internationally to soar past the coveted $1B mark. According to the website, it currently stands at $1.002B (INR 7996.69 crores approx) worldwide which consists of $376 M (INR 2999 crores) in Domestic (the U.S and Canada) and $625.62 (INR 5040.83 crores) internationally.
JW3 is 3rd straight Jurassic Movie to achieve the feat
The 6-film franchise now has overall 4 films that touched the mighty $1B mark, as per Forbes. The World Dominion has become the third straight film in the franchise to do so after Jurassic World ($1.6B WW), and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ($1.3B).
The Jurassic franchise collectively earned over $6.02B WW on a combined budget of around $734M. It remains the most profitable franchise in terms of return on investment.
Budget
It opened with negative reviews from the critics despite this, it has emerged as a blockbuster at the box office. Dominion is said to be made with a budget of 165-185 million US dollars which is 1377-1477 crores in Indian Rupees.

Jurrasic World 3 Box Office India
In India, it saw a start of over 10 crores including paid previews and showed an upward trend during the weekend. The first-weekend collection of the movie stands at Rs 31.8 Cr. It witnessed a fall of over 65% on consecutive 2 weekends. However, crossed the 50 crore mark on the 2nd weekend itself.
Jurassic World Dominion accumulated Rs 68.56 crores from India in its entire run, as per Bollywood Hungama. It was released in India in four languages Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu on 10 June 2022.

Colin Trevorrow along with directing the film also wrote the screenplay with Emily Carmichael, it is backed by Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley under the banner Amblin Entertainment, Perfect World Pictures and The Kennedy Marshall Company.
It is already the 2nd highest grosser film of 2022 worldwide, May 27th release Top Gun: Maverick stands at no.1 position with $1.4B in the list of the highest grossing movies of 2022.
