The anticipated Tamil rom-com film Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal aka KRK has been released on the big screens on Thursday, the film has known stars Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, and Nayanthara and is directed by the Vignesh Shivan who is known for his quality comedy flicks in south India.
Shivan bankrolled the film along with Nayanthara and S.S. Lalit Kumar under the banner Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios.
Review
However, the film graces the cinemas on April 28th, and it got mixed reviews from the critics the film got on an average of 2.5 out of 5 stars, The Times of India, India Today, and Cinema Express gave the rom-com flick 2.5/5 stars, they praised the performance of the main leads and the music in it but severely panned the direction and the plot.
On the contrary, the film is getting an amazing response from the cinephiles at the cinemas, especially in the home market Chennai where more than half of the shows either are booked or filling fast. KRK is also showing decent bookings in Bangalore, and Hyderabad also.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Now, talking about the box office collection, as per the estimation, the multi starrer will get the opening in the range of Rs 10-12 crore gross** given the film is imbued with the stars like Samantha, Nayanthara, and Vijay whose popularity will also translate into big amount on the first day.

Makers
The storyline follows a man Rambo (Vijay), who falls in love with two girls Kanmani Ganguly (Nayanthara) and Khatija Begum (Samantha), the film tells the story of these three that will the Rambo be able to confess in front of both girls that he loved both and wants to marry both.
On the technical front, S.R Kathir and Vijay Kartik Kanna were on board for the cinematography, the Editor is A. Sreekar Prasad and the music is given by the talented Anirudh Ravichander.
