The Kannada sensation “Kantara” has completed its 50 days run at the box office on Nov 18. The pan India film was released on Sept 30 in the Kannada version and after a winning run in the original version, makers made it grandeur by releasing the dubbed versions Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
It has emerged successful at the box office in all versions and is still not in the mood of slowing down. The film is now eying the 400 crore gross worldwide mark, however, the speed has become a bit slow due to the new releases every week.

It is expected to cross the 400 crore milestone before its advent on the OTT platform. It has already become the second highest-grosser Kannada film of all time and one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of 2022 beating the likes of The Kashmir Files and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
The total 49 days worldwide gross collections of Kantara stands at ₹ 382.45 Cr gross which includes ₹ 351.45 Cr gross in India and ₹ 31 Cr gross overseas.
Kantara Box Office Week 7
Kantara raked in ₹ 2.27 crore nett on Day 43rd, it witnessed a jump of over 67% on its 7th Sat for ₹ 3.81 Cr. It again showed a jump of 22% on 7th Sun for ₹ 4.65 Cr, nett. The 7th-weekend collection of Kantara stands at over ₹ 10.5 Cr nett which is better than the opening weekend collection of newly released movies.
It witnessed a fall of 68.60% in earnings on 7th Mon for ₹ 1.46 Cr but holds well on the weekdays with a 5-8% drop on the daily basis. It minted ₹ 16.21 crore nett on its 7th week for a domestic cume of 298.58 crores, nett in 49 days.
Box Office Collection Day 50
As per the early trade estimations, Kantara netted around 85L on Fri (day 50), domestically. It is certain to cross the nett 300 crore mark in India by Sat (day 51). Kantara is expected to show growth in earnings over its 8th Sat and 8th Sun nearing the 400 crores gross WW.

Kantara-Hindi has outdone the other versions in daily earnings, it is heading for a 85-90 Cr nett lifetime in Hindi, however, the clash with Drishyam 2 could affect its bizz.
