The Kannada action-drama “Kantara”, has taken the box office by storm, it had created a good pre-release buzz through its trailer and opened with decent numbers at the box office.
The film saw its business grow leaps and bounds in a few days due to positive word of mouth and continue to churn out moolah even after a week of its release. It is getting rave reviews from the critics and the audience alike for the direction, writing, production design, action sequences, BGM, and the performance of the main leads, especially Rishab.

Advance Bookings Report Day 7
Even on the seventh day of its release, Kantara witnessed advanced sales more than on its first day. It clocked in Rs 1.24 crores through ticket sales for Thursday. It minted 2.44 crore on Wed through ticket sales and had collected over 8 crores nett at the box office, domestically.
Box Office Collection Day 7
Kantara is made on a budget of 12-15 crores and has already covered its budget. As per the trade reports, so far, it has netted 33 crores approximately in the domestic market. The next target of the flick will be to cross the 50 crore mark, domestically.
The film witnessed excellent occupancy on Thu as well, it had 72.20% overall occupancy across all the shows on Thu. Showing over 70% occupancy that too on a working day speaks volumes about how good the film is doing.
Going by the trends, it will stay steady on Friday on a higher note and will see a jump on Saturday and Sunday. Kantara collects 5 to 6 crores on its last day of the first week, as per the early trade estimations.
Kantara Box Office Day-Wise
It saw a decent start of 2.3 crores considering its budget, following over a 90% and 61% growth on Sat and Sun. The first-weekend collection of Kantara stands at 13.8 crores.
It had accumulated Rs 4.7 crores on its first Monday which is a growth of over 50% from its opening day. On its first Tue and Wed, the film again showed growth due to the Dussehra festival.
