Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara has already been considered a blockbuster in the original version. The Hindi version of the flick was out on Oct 14 and it has performed very well in the northern belt.
It saw a wide release in the Hindi circuit and took an over one crore start. The domestic collection of the flick is nearing 100 crores. It is expected to fetch the mark by Sunday or the fourth Monday as yesterday the two other dubbed versions, Tamil and Telugu hit the theatres. And if advance bookings are anything to go by then it will touch the double-digit mark on Sunday.

Box Office Collection Day 2
Kantara is certain to see the growth in collections on Saturday, across the board going by the advance bookings. The Hindi version of it has shown a jump of 100% in earnings. It raked in around 2.5 crores on Saturday making the two days’ total around 4 crores in Hindi. It is performing well on multiplex and single screens, both.
As per the estimations, It will see around 3-3.5 crores coming in on Sun making the first weekend total over 7 crores. It is a good feat to achieve for a small film like Kantara which is made on a budget of around 15 crores. If it touches the 20 crore mark in the long run, it will be considered a hit.
Among the three big releases, Doctor G and Kantara got traction in the Hindi belt while Parineeti Chopra’s flick falls flat on the first day. Kantara is getting good reviews from both class and mass audiences.
Kantara-Hindi advance bookings
Kantara has clocked in a whopping 4.05 crores from the advance bookings for Saturday. It sold almost 2L tickets on Saturday. Of which most collections came in from Kannada version Rs 2.8 Cr followed by Telugu Rs 43L, Hindi Rs 38L, and Tamil Rs 7.5L.
Kantara was released on Sept 30th in Kannada language, it has been over 2 weeks and the flick is minting more moolah than what it had earned on its first day. This is the power of content and positive word of mouth.

All About Kantara
Talking about the domestic collections, it has reached near the 80 crore mark in all versions. And with the new version releases, it will soon go past the 100 crore nett club. The reports from the Telugu states are also sensational, it has occupied around 305+ screens there and is estimated to rake in 1 crore shares on its first day. The business is valued at Rs 2 Cr and it is expected to complete in its first weekend in Telugu.
