Kantara is having a phenomenal run at the box office, the flick recently crossed the 100-crore mark in the domestic market. And it is now eying the 150 Cr nett mark which it will cross by the coming weekend.
It has already emerged as a blockbuster in Kannada and has recently been released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It is doing well in the dubbed versions as well, especially in Telugu where it emerged as a clean hit on the first day itself.

Kantara-all versions again touched the 1 crore mark in the advance bookings, the flick clocked in 1.68 crores for day 19 out of which around 92L came in from Kannada alone, followed by Telugu 48L+, 23L+ in Hindi and 4.6L+ in Tamil.
Talking about box office Hindi, it took a start of 1.27 crores in Hindi, it records 100% growth the following day and again witnessed growth on Sunday. Kantara–Hindi– first weekend collections stand at Rs 7.50 Cr.
It is showing growth on the weekdays as well. It is estimated to have clocked in 1.8 Cr on Tue to take the total Hindi collections upwards of 11 crores. It has already surpassed the Beast Vikram and Sita Ramam (8.19 Cr) lifetime Hindi biz and now eying Vikrant Rona’s (12.49 Cr) lifetime Hindi biz.
Kantara outdoing PS1 in daily earnings
As per the Telugu BO tracker, T2BLive, Kantara has grossed over 13.50 crores in its first three days with 6.80 crores shares in the two Telugu states. The Tamil and Telugu version of the flick was released one day after the Hindi version.
And despite the limited screens/shows and clash with monster PS-1, it is doing well at the box office in Tamil as well. Kantara-all versions are minting 6times more than PS-1 in daily earnings which shows the power of content that even a small film can beat the biggie.
Makers made the Kantara grandeur by releasing the dubbed versions in the theatres, the Malayalam version of Rishab Shetty’s film will soon be out in the theatres. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Prithviraj Productions has bought the Malayalam rights of the movie.
