Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara has taken the box office by storm in the Kannada version, the flick is now all set to be out in dubbed versions e.g Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil in theatres.
It was released on Sept 30th to rave reviews from the critics, it opened on a decent note at the box office and saw its biz booming in the next few days due to genuine audience word of mouth.

Kantara Advance Bookings
The original version of Kantara is still doing well and beating the likes of Ponniyin Selvan, Godfather, and Vikram Vedha in the daily earnings. It speaks volumes about the buzz the movie has created that its daily biz is surpassing the biggies like PS1 in the national collections.
Moreover, following the success of Kantara in the original version, makers have planned to make it grandeur by releasing it in dubbed versions in cinema halls. The Hindi, Telugu and Tamil trailers of the movie are already out and garnering a lot of eyeballs.
The advance bookings for Hindi and Telugu has been commenced on Oct 12 and Oct 13, respectively. The advance bookings for the Tamil version are expected to be opened from Oct 14.
Kannada-Hindi will be released in theatres on Oct 14 while Tamil and Telugu versions will be gracing the cinemas on Oct 15th.

Kantara Screen Counts Hindi
While the Hindi bookings of the flick were opened 2 days ahead of the release, as of Mon at 2 pm, it has recorded around 7000 ticket sales worth Rs 13L in 2D format. The trend is certain to grow during the evening and night shows. As per a report from the entertainment portal, Koimoi, Kantara-Hindi has occupied over 2500 screens across the board.
Recently top movie critic Taran Adarsh watched the movie and rated the film 4 stars out of 5 and called it Brilliant in his one-word review.

Box Office Collection Day 1
However, the advance bookings of Kantara are not that appealing due to no wide promotions, makers have only released the trailer as they did with the original version. It is a pure word-of-mouth film and will witness growth in the coming days due to audience genuine WOM. As per the early estimations, it will draw in around 2 crores on its first day and will grow after WOM comes into play.
2022 has been the year of a content-driven film, we have seen biggies failing at the box office while small films like The Kashmir Files, Karthikeya 2, 777-Charlie, Rocketry, and now Kantara saw their business booming due to word of mouth.
