Chandoo Mondeti-directed Karthikeya 2 was released in Hindi markets without promotion and marketing, still reigning supreme at the box office, the Hindi version of the movie is churning out collections better than Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan on daily basis.
It witnessed its first major drop on Monday of over 75% and raked in Rs 98 L, it again picked up the pace on Tue, showing over 17% growth. As per the trade reports, the Hindi version of the film has gone past Rs 18 crores. And it is now only Rs 7.5 crores away to overtake the lifetime biz of Madhavan’s Rocketry.

Box Office Hindi (Day-Wise)
It was opened with just Rs 7 Lakhs but with the audience’s positive word of mouth, the film saw exponential growth in a few days. On the 2nd weekend, the film accumulated almost double then what it had garnered in its entire first week. Have a look at the BO collection of Karthikeya 2, below:

It is very well received by the Hindi audience and going by the box office reports, the film will soon go past R. Madhavan’s Rocketry collections (Rs 26.05 Cr) in the Hindi belt to become the most successful south film in the north after KGF2, RRR and Pushpa.
Karthikeya 2 (Hindi) had over 9% occupancy on Tue which is a slight jump from the Mon occupancy reports, going by the early trends, it will remain consistent in the coming days and then will again show the jump on the third weekend. As per the early trade reports, it collects Rs 1 Cr on Wed.
Box Office Worldwide
On the other, Karthikeya 2 is doing phenomenal business at the box office worldwide, the small film is on its way to crossing the 100 cr worldwide soon. The film currently stands at Rs 85 Cr+** gross worldwide. It is in the profits of Rs 30 crores which is more than its budget.
