Chandoo Mondeti’s film “Karthikeya 2” is in no mood of slowing down at the box office, it recently beat the lifetime Hindi collection of Prabhash’s Radhe Shyam and as per the makers’ claim, has gone past 100 crores at the box office worldwide to emerge as an all-time blockbuster.
Along with the Telugu version, the Hindi dubbed version of the movie is faring very well at the box office, not only Karthikeya 2, we have seen many south Indian flicks doing well in the Hindi belt earlier, it all started with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa last year followed by RRR, KGF2, Vikrant Rona, Vikram, Rocketry and now Karthikeya 2.
Following the success of south Indian films in Hindi, producers down south are now not hesitating to release their flicks at Pan India level, many upcoming south Indian movies are gearing to release in Hindi as well.
Following Karthikeya 2 success in the north, now the producers of Sita Ramam announced their plan to release it in Hindi as well after emerging as a blockbuster in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.
Box Office Collection Day 16
Liger has been rejected by the audience and amid this, Karthikeya 2 will have an open run to perform in the cinemas for two weeks until Brahmashtra arrives. The total 2 weeks Hindi collection of Karthikeya 2 stands at Rs 20.11 cr, as per Bollywood Hungama. Going by the early trade reports, it has again shown growth in the collections on Sun as well with over 2 crores more adding to its collections in Hindi making the 16 days total 23.86 crores.
Beats Vikrant Rona, Beast, Vikram, Radhe Shyam
It had gone past Rs 20 crores on Friday (Day 14) and had shown very good growth in the collection on Saturday as well. It is only Rs 2.3 crores away to cross the lifetime of Rocketry (Hindi).
It was opened with only 53 shows in Hindi and now beating many biggies like Vikrant Rona, Vikram, Beast, and now Radhe Shyam, it has certainly achieved a big feat.
