Nikhil Siddhartha’s “Karthikeya 2” was released at a time when there were already two considered hit films Bimbisara and Sita Ramam wreaking havoc at the box office still it finds its place and got the footfalls to the theatres.
In the box office north also, it was released alongside the biggies like Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha, still, it emerged as a huge success so much so that the Hindi version alone recovered the cost tantamount to its budget.

Box Office Collection Day 23
After completing the 3 weeks at the box office, successfully, it is still showing growth in the earnings. It witnessed a growth of over 30% on Saturday and was flat on Sunday.
As per industry tracker T2BLive, it accumulates Rs 1.3 Crs at the cash registers on Day 23, taking the total worldwide collections to past Rs 110 crores at the box office.
40 Cr Profits
If the trade reports are to be believed, then Karthikeya 2 has made over 41.5 crore profits, so far. It was opened with rave reviews from critics and started off on an excellent note at the box office. It had recovered the distributors’ shares in its first three-day run itself.
The film had entered the 100 crore club in the third week and recently gone past the Rs 50 crore mark in the home market (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).

Box Office Hindi
The Hindi version of Karthikeya 2 overtook the Rocketry (Hindi) on Day 20 to become the most successful south film in Hindi this year after the event films like KGF2 and RRR. It had a very limited release and despite this, the business of the film kept growing with each passing day and has now gone past the 28 crores mark.
