The small film from Telugu, is becoming a hit in Hindi, is something no one would have ever imagined and “Karthikeya 2” has achieved the feat. It has gone past the 29 crore mark in its 24-day run to emerge as a successful venture in the north.
There are a few Hindi films that are small —considering the budget—and have emerged as clean hits, these are Peepli Live, Haunted-3D, Raaz, 1920 Evil Returns, and Dum Laga Ke Haisha since the box office is tracked more closely than before.
All these films have crossed the 30 Cr marks except for Emraan Hashmi starrer Raaz had accumulated Rs 25 crores and emerged a hit.
Karthikeya 2 to finish with 32 Cr lifetime
Nikhil-Anupam Kher starrer seems to lead the table of small films emerging as a hit. Of course! The Kashmir Files is an exception as it was an unconventional film. Karthikeya 2 is nearing its end run and likely will be an affair of 3-4 days due to the arrival of Brahmashtra which is having a wide release across the country.

Going by this, Karthikeya 2 will complete its run with a 32 Cr lifetime. This again will be considered a big feat for a small film like Karthikeya 2 which is originally from a different industry.
Box Office Collection Day 25
Even after entering the fourth week, Karthikeya 2 is not slowing down at the box office, it is still raking in crores on daily basis. As per the trade reports, the movie has made a huge over 42 crore profit for the distributors for a worldwide gross total of Rs 111.80 crores, so far.
It is estimated to have collected around Rs 55 L on its fourth Monday in Hindi, and as per the current trade estimates, it adds another 30-35L at its cash registers taking the total Hindi collections to Rs 29.35 crores.
