The latest Tollywood release “Karthikeya 2” has been riding on terrific word of mouth ever since it hit the theatres, the film recently completed its breakeven and got the tag of 11th clean hit Telugu film of 2022.
It revolves around the ornaments of Lord Shri Krishna and looks like, the story has struck a chord with the Indian audience, as the film witnessed a growth in the collection outside the home market as well, especially in the Hindi belt on the occasion of Independence day.

Let us inform you that both the biggies Raksha Bandhan and Laal Singh Chaddha face a huge drop in their collections on the national holiday (Aug 15). There are reports that state that the exhibitors are reducing both the biggies shows and replacing them with Karthikeya 2 (Hindi Version).
Box Office Collection Day 4
It witnessed an upward trend in the collection at the box office in Telugu states and completes its breakeven in 3-day theatrical run. The film is doing well on the business front in Hindi and overseas also.
Nikhil starrer is expected to remain decent in the coming weekdays as well, as per the trade reports, the film witnessed a drop of around 45% in the collections which is excellent considering it was a working day.
The film earns Rs 5.5 Cr+ gross on Tuesday. So far, Karthikeya 2 has accumulated Rs 32.15 Cr (Rs 18.51 Cr shares) gross at the box office worldwide. With this, it has become the career top share movie of the actor beating his 2016 film Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (Rs 16.55 Cr shares).

Box Office Hindi
Despite locking horns with the likes of Bimbisara, Sita Ramam, Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan and releasing with few screens/shows, Nikhil Siddharth’s film managed to succeed at the BO.
The Hindi version of the film has also started picking up the pace from Monday onwards, as per a tweet of Bollywood Hungama’s Taran Adarsh, It was opened with Rs 7 Lacs on Saturday with just 157 shows, on Sunday it collects Rs 35 L (245 shows), and now as per the recent report of Times of India, it managed to accumulate around Rs 1.25 Cr on Monday.
