Chandoo Mondeti’s directorial is reigning supreme at the box office currently, the film on Friday witnessed a huge growth in collections due to the Janmasthami festival and crosses the Rs 50 Cr mark worldwide.
It has been a week since the film hit the cinemas and it is still super strong at the box office across the country unlike Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan.
Karthikeya 2 revolves around the ornaments of Lord Shri Krishna and Indian history, the storyline follows how Shri Krishna is not mythology but an important character as well as part of Indian history which has been shown in the film beautifully. It takes you on an adventure with ups and downs, the excellent music and VFX received rave reviews from the audience.

Box Office Collection Day 8
On Day 8, the Hindi version of the film jumped to 50% as compared to Thu, it minted Rs 2.46 Cr on Fri (Holiday), with this, it becomes the best performing day of Karthikeya 2 in the Hindi belt. Not only this, but the Hindi version of the film also beats the LSC which raked in only Rs 1.25 Cr.
Now, going by the trends it will see the increase in collections till Sunday. As per the early trade reports, Karthikeya 2 showed growth on Saturday as well and goes past Rs 3 Cr mark on Day 8 to take the total Hindi collections in the vicinity of Rs 11.50 crores. And if the trend continues, it seems will beat the Vikrant Rona lifetime Hindi collections soon.

Crosses 60 Cr Worldwide
Karthikeya 2 was opened with an above-par start at the box office and witnessed an upward trend in the collections due to audience word of mouth. The film witnessed a huge growth on Friday owing to the Janmasthami festival.
It was the second best performing day in its one-week theatrical run. It accumulated Rs 8.55 Cr gross on Friday taking the total worldwide collections of the film go past 60 crores gross. Actor Nikhil also confirmed the same via a tweet:
