Actor Nikhil Siddhartha starrer 2014 Telugu Supernatural mystery thriller film Karthikeya will be back in the upcoming days with its sequel named Karthikeya 2.
The first part was a sensational success that introduced Telugu Cinema with a different concept called animal hypnotism. And the latest big announcement related to this movie is, releasing in 5 Indian languages (Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi).
The title of the movie was based on the lead actor Nikhil Siddhartha who played the character of Kartikeya Kumaraswamy or Karthik.
Nikhil rose to fame with Sekhar Kammula’s 2007 coming-of-age film Happy Days. He made his debut as a lead actor with the 2008 Telugu romantic film Yuvatha where he played opposite Aksha Pardasany.
Apart from this, he also played lead role in Alasyam Amrutham (2010), Swamy Ra Ra (2013), Surya vs Surya (2015), Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada (2016), Keshava (2017), and Kirrak Party (2018).
He was last seen in T. Santhosh’s 2019 Telugu action thriller Arjun Suravaram which was a remake of the Tamil movie Kanithan.

Karthikeya 2 Release Date
The release date of the film has not been announced by the makers yet. It is reported by various media houses that the film will be released in theaters and later will have the OTT released.
Reportedly, the Makers of the film have done the deal of Rs. 20 crore with one of the most popular television channels for satellite rights, digital rights and theatrical rights. The name of the channel hasn’t been revealed yet.
It will be known in a few days whether these are just claims or a reality. Actor Nikhil Siddhartha himselt shared the title poster with release date, be ready for 22nd July, postponed again now save the date ’13 August 2022′:
Karthikeya 2 Star Cast
The lead star cast and will be back in their respective character, that was played in the first installment of this mystery thriller. These actors are going to reprise their role in Karthikeya part 2:
- Nikhil Siddhartha as Dr. Karthikeya Kumaraswamy aka Karthik
- Swati Reddy as Dr. Valli
- Rao Ramesh as Prudhvi Raj
Along with these actors, actress Anupama Parameswaran, who is best known for her role of Mary George in 2015 coming-of-age Malayalam movie Premam, will be seen in a pivotal role in the series.
The actress will be seen in the character named Devsena. This movie created a buzz when the news of Bollywood veteran actor Anupam Kher’s presence in the movie made headlines.
On March 7, 2021, the lead actor Nikhil Siddhartha wished Anupam Kher a very happy birthday by posting a welcome-video in which the announcement regarding the actor (Kher) playing the role of Dhanvatri in Karthikeya 2 was made.
Actor Anupam Kher also thanked the actor in reply and expressed his gratitude and excitement to further work with him.

Karthikeya 2 Makers
The sequel is also being helmed as well as written by Chandoo Mondeti while it is jointly bankrolled by Abhishek Agarwal and T.G. Vishwa Prasad under the banner Abhishek Agarwal Arts, along with People Media Factory and Venkatadri Talkies.
If we talk about technical work, Cinematography and editing are handled by Karthik Ghattamaneni and Goutham Nerusu while Kaala Bhairava has composed the music of this mystery-thriller.
