Directed and written by Dhinesh Palanivel, Kathir is a Tamil drama film that is all set to premiere on OTT after receiving critical acclaim from its theater release.
The film was bankrolled by Dhuvaraga Studios and starred Venkatesh Appadurai of “Aayiram Muthangaludan Thenmozhi” fame in the lead role with Rajini Chandy, Santhosh Pratap, Bhavya Trikha and Arya Ramesh in pivotal roles.
The film centered around two people- a youngster who has gone through many failures and an old woman with an inspiring past. It is all about a beautiful bond between them and how the young man’s life takes an interesting turn after he learns the story of the older woman.

As we have said that the film received positive reviews due to its simple yet unique plot. The main highlight of the film was the performance of the leading star cast. Both Venkatesh and Rajini Chandy have done a great job and they have made sure that they portray their characters in a realistic way. The film received an IMDb rating of 7.9/10.
