Faruk Kabir directorial “Khud Haafiz: Chapter Two” has been released in theatres, it is an action thriller and a sequel to the 2020 digitally hit film Khuda Haafiz. The film stars Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the main leads.
Chapter one of Khuda Haafiz had a direct-to-digital release on Disney+Hotstar on 14 Aug 2022, it received a tremendous response from the viewers. The platform back then tweeted, “High action + Thrill + Drama = Biggest opening for Vidyut Jammwal Thank you for the love”, however, it hadn’t shared the views received by the film.
Khuda Haafiz part 1 has a rating of 7.2 out of 10 on IMDb. Part 2 ‘Agni Pariksha’ is also directed and written by Faruk Kabir, it is backed by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Sneha Bimal Parekh and Ram Mirchandani under the banner Panorama Studios and Action Hero Films.
Budget & Screen Counts
As per a report of AmarUjala Hindi, the film ‘Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha‘ is released on 2000 screens in India. The report also added that the film is made with a budget of around Rs 40 crores including production costs (Rs 30 Cr) and promotional activities (Rs 10 Cr).
Box Office Collection Day 1
As we discussed above the earlier part of the film was a hit among the digital audience, but the film seems failed to impress the moviegoers, as the media reports suggest, that the film earned only Rs 1.5 Cr on Day 1.
Aditya Roy Kapoor’s actioner Rasthrakavach OM met with the same fate on Day 1, Vidhyut’s film needs to cover the lost grounds on Sat and Sun, to become a profitable venture. Bollywood films post-covid getting an extreme response from the moviegoers and seems like this one is on the wrong side of the spectrum.
About the Film
Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2-Agni Pariksha stars Vidyut and Shivaleeka as the main leads along with them Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Rukhsar Rehman, and Riddhi Sharma will be seen in pivotal roles. Like the earlier part, Vidyut will fight for his family in this part too. In the earlier part, he was in the search of his wife, this time the story is said to revolve around their adopted child.
