Vidyut Jammwal’s “Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2-Agni Pariksha” is helmed and written by Faruk Kabir and bankrolled by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Sneha Bimal Parekh, and Ram Mirchandani under the banner Panorama Studios and Action Hero Films.
It is a direct sequel of Disney+Hotstar’s 2020 film “Khuda Haafiz” which was a hit on the digital platform. Chapter 2 of it, hit the theatres on 8 July 2022 and opened to dismal numbers at the box office.
Box Office Collection Day 2
Faruk’s directorial needs to cross Rs 8 crores in the first three days for a respectable weekend. However, it seems impossible as it fails to create a buzz among its target audience.
Having said that, the film saw a good growth compared to the first day, as per Times Now Navbharat, Vidyut starrer earned Rs 2 Cr on Day 2, to take the total collections to Rs 3.5 Cr in India.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Vidyut starrer failed to impress the audience at the box office on Day 1, it manage to accumulate only Rs 1.5 Cr nett. As the film is a treat for action lovers and given the success of the first part, it was expected that the mass audience will grace the cinemas in big numbers at the ticket windows.
But the day 1 collection of the film tells a different story, we have seen actioner films like OM, Dhaakad, and Heropanti 2 tanking at the box office, this year. Vidyut’s film will have to perform really well on the last day of the weekend to avoid meeting the same fate.
About the Film
The film stars Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi, it marks the latter’s third film after Yeh Saali Aashiqui (2019), Khuda Haafiz (2020). The first part of Khuda Haafiz was highly praised, it has a rating of 7.2 out of 10 on IMDb. Chapter 2 got mixed reviews from the critics, they bashed the script while praising the action sequences.
