Faruk Kabir’s directorial “Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2- Agni Pariksha” was opened with mixed responses from the critics and opens with dismal numbers at the box office.
Kabir along with directing also wrote the screenplay for the film, it is backed by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Ram Mirchandani and Sneha Bimal Parekh under Pathak’s Panorama Studios and Vidyut’s Action Hero Films.
The earlier part of the film was a hit on the OTT platform Disney+Hostar, despite this, the sequel failed to garner the expected footfalls at the ticket windows. It started off slow at the ticket windows, it accumulated only Rs 1.3 Cr on Day 1, as per Bollywood Hungama.
Day 2 was no different than the first day, however, it shows a slight growth, the amount it raked in, is a minimal Rs 1.7 Cr on Saturday (Day 2).
Earlier, it was being said that Khuda Haafiz 2 might be pulled from theatres and soon be made available on the OTT platform. But showing magnificent performance on Sun (Day 3), Vidyut’s film has dismissed all the predictions and churns out big.
Khuda Haafiz 2 showed a huge growth of around 82% on Sun (Day 3) compared to the prior day, earning Rs 3.13 Cr the total opening weekend collections of Vidyut’s film stand at Rs 6.15 Cr nett.

Though it was a huge jump on Sun, the collections are still low, if it manages to earn the same amount as Fri on the first Monday (Day 4), there will be a chance of it getting some run at the box office.
If we compare its box office performance with the same genre recent release film OM. Reports suggest it is performing better than OM. Despite opening with low figures Vidyut’s film has beaten the opening weekend collection of OM (Rs 4.91 Cr).
