Only 3 days has passed since the death of young and popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, and yet another bad news has come Bollywood, India’s renowned playback singer- composer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK died in Kolkata on Tuesday, at the age of 53.
Reportedly, KK falls ill during his concert in Kolkata and collapsed at the hotel he was stying after the concert in Kolkata’s Nazrul Mancha auditorium. He was taken to nearby CMRI hospital where he was declared dead by doctors at 10 pm, he was died of a suspected heart attack.
As per sources, the singer complained of uneasiness during the show but performed till the end of the event. He was in the city for the two -day event and also posted photos of the concert before his death. The concert was organised on behalf of Gurdas College. His family has arrived Kolkata and his post-mortem will be conducted today as per his family’s consent.
KK’s name came among one of the prominent singers, who rule the music industry in early 2000s. His songs and music was loved by everyone, especially by the 90s kids. He was best known for songs like Pal and Yaaron, that became superhit and often heard during teen cultural events and college/school farewell.
KK launched his first album Pal in 1999. He recorded songs in multiple Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati Languages. His popular songs includes Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Woh Lamhe, Om Shanti Om, Khuda Jaane, Piya Aaye Na, Tu Jo Mila and many more.
Social Media has flooded with tributes whether singer, actors or politicians, everyone is mourning the loss of the gem of the Indian music industry. PM Narendra Modi also tweeted condolences for the untimely demise of the singer.
