Karan Johar tells ‘WHY’ Ranbir will not attend the show
Karan said that Rockstar actor feels that his statements leave a longer impact on the audience, sometimes leading to controversies. Ranbir told Karan, “ Karan you can build public perception based on the performance on that couch.”
Quoting Ranbir Kapoor’s statement, Karan said, “I am not coming on your show. He is like I have to pay the price for this for too long. Why should I do this to myself? He said, ‘I love you and I’ll meet you at your house and talk to you. You give me coffee at home. But please I am not coming for the show.”
He went on to imitate Ranbir, “Mujhe please show pe mat bulao, mujhe tension hoti hai.”
Karan opens up about the problems he faces bringing in the stars
Karan explained that over time, celebrities have gotten more circumspect, and how he strives to convince them to engage in fun conversation. The programme is ‘waggish,’ according to Karan, and is not intended to be taken seriously.
He also says that some of his close friends are also hesitant to speak on the show. KJo also mentioned that celebrities are typically concerned about how their remarks are taken by the audience, and that the consequences can hamper their image among their fans.
The film director also shared the shoot glimpse from the set. While he kept the guest list a closely guarded secret, he has posted images from the refurbished sets.
