Directed by debutants S. Sabari Gireesan and Guru Saravanan, Koogle Kuttapa is Tamil sciences fiction drama comedy film.
The film is the Tamil remake of Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 which was written and directed Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval and starred Suraj Venjaramoodu, Soubin Shahir and Sooraj Zirdo and Saiju kurup in the lead roles.
The film received an amazing response from the audience as well as critics and became one of the commercially successful Malayalam films released in 2019. It also won Kerala State Films Awards.
After seeing the huge success of the film, the director duo decided to make the Tamil remake of this critically acclaimed Malayalam film, for the Tamil audience.

On Technical front, the film has cinematography by Arvi while editing is handled by Praveen Antony. The film has music and background score by award-winning music composer Ghibran.
It marks the second collaboration between the lead actor and producer K.S. Ravikumar with Ghibran after 2017 science fiction drama film Maayavan.
Koogle Kuttapa Release Date (OTT)
Koogle Kuttapa release was released on 6th May 2022. Two singles of the film loved by the fans, the first one titled ‘Bomma Bomma’ was premiered on December 25, 2021, lyrics by Arivu, who has also sung the song along with Sivaangi Krishnakumar.
The second single titled Alai Alai was premiered on January 21, 2022 and the lyrics of the song were written by Madhan Karky and has voices of G.V. Prakash Kumar and Deepthi Suresh.
After Theatre release, the movie is all set for its first digital premiere from 3rd June:

Koogle Kuttapa Trailer
The makers of the movie released the trailer of this most-awaited sci-fi comedy film today on March 14, 2022. It was launched by Tamil actor and filmmaker Silambarasan.
The nearly 3 minute long intriguing trailer of the film looks promising as it comprises comedy, fun and emotions together.
It features Tharashan as Adhi, who has brought a Robot nurse named Kuttappan, from abroad to take care of his Stubborn father, played by Ravikumar.
The character played by Ravikumar seems reluctant to the robot and starts to get irritated by him but as time passes, he starts getting engaged with the robot and also starts to consider him as his son.
Seeing his father getting closer to the Robot day by day, his son Adhi gets very concerned as he thinks his father will soon forget him as wherever his father goes, Robot always accompanies him, even while fishing and walking in the fields.
The trailer also shows the glimpse of Losliya Mariyanesan who is playing Adhi’s (Tharashan) love interest, with whom he is sharing all the things happening in his life.
