Bollywood’s ace filmmaker-cum-music composer Vishal Bhardwaj announced his new project titled Kuttey in June 2022. A caper-thriller, the film marks the feature directorial debut of the filmmaker’s son Aasmaan Bhardwaj,
Aasmaan, in the past had worked, directed several short films such as The Identities (2012), The Thief (2017) and Murder On The Deccan Express (2017) etc. The young director, along with his father, has also written the screenplay of this upcoming multi-starrer.
Earlier, he assisted his father in the projects like 7 Khoon Maaf, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and Pataakha.
Kuttey Star Cast
Kuttey is the multi-starrer that features promising actors of industry- Arjun Kapoor, Konkona Sen, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, Radhika Madan, Tabu with Kumud Mishra and Shardul Bhardwaj of “Eeb Allay Ooo!” fame. The versatile actors of Indian cinema Tabu and Naseer made this film more interesting with unique title.
Kuttey Release Date & OTT
Along with the announcement of the film, Vishal Bhardwaj who also served as the producer along with his wife Rekha Bhardwaj, Luv Rajan, Ankur Garg, revealed the release date in June 2022 but the film got postponed later to Jan 2023.
The film presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series was to release theatrically on November 4, 2022, postponed to 13th of Jan 2023, received mixed reviews but big Box Office Failure. The tagline ‘1 Haddi Aur 7 Kuttey! (1 Bone and 7 Dogs)’ didn’t work.
Bollywood is facing bad time, South Indian Films like Kantara, Karthikeya 2, 777 Charlie and others beat big starrer movies like Phone Bhoot, Ram Setu, Thank God. The film was looking interesting as show stoppers Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu roped into the important characters.

Kuttey Box Office Collection
Kuttey was the first big film of 2023 for Bollywood, but Box Office start was not in favour of the industry, Pathaan is the only successful till now, biggies like Selfiee and Shehzada also collapsed at Box Office.
Kuttey opened with just Rs 1 Crore and struggled to jump on the weekend, collected Rs 3.21 Cr in the first weekend and wrapped up at 4.25 Cr Nett lifetime business in India.
