Aamir Khan’s film “Laal Singh Chaddha” has collected in the vicinity of Rs 30 Crs in its three-day theatrical run, though these are below par number for a superstar film, producers will find solace from the fact that the film has started witnessing a growth, albeit on the lower side.
It is a Hindi remake of the Hollywood 1994 classic film Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks and was nominated for 13 academy awards including six wins for Film Editing (Arthur Schmidt), Best Actor (Tom Hanks), Best Picture (Wendy Finerman, Steve Tisch, and Steve Starkey), Adapted Screenplay (Eric Roth) and Directing (Robert Zemeckis) and Best Visual Effects.

Box Office Collection Day 4
It was opened with below par start at the box office and saw a drop in collections on Day 2 (Fri), though it again picked up growth on Sat and Sun and is expected to show the upward trend in earning till Monday (Aug 15), however, the overall collections of the film remains on the lower side.
As per the early trade reports, LSC collects Rs 10.2 Cr on Sunday, taking the total collections of the film to over Rs 40 crores in India. Aamir’s film might see double-digit coming in the cash registers, of the film on Monday (Day 5) as well and it is expected that the extended first weekend of the film will take the total collections around 50 cr nett domestically.

Nearing Flop Verdict
LSC is nearing one of the worst performer of the actor’s career, Aamir was last featured in 2018 film Thugs of Hindustan which also bombed at the box office but in the terms of box office collections, it raked in around Rs 151.2 crores domestically. Here looks like his latest release will not even touch the 100 cr mark. Going by this, it will be considered one of the major disasters in the actor’s career.
