Produced by Pan Nalin, the Gujarati film Chhello Show, or “Last Film Show,” which is India’s official Oscar entry for the upcoming Academy Awards, is set to have its OTT streaming after getting an immensely positive response in its theatre run.
The film has been nominated for and screened at several prestigious film festivals across the globe, such as the Tribeca Film Festival, the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema, etc., before having a theatrical release on October 14, 2022.
It also won the award for best picture at the recent Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles. The film’s main star cast includes Bhavin Rabari as Samay, Bhavesh Shrimali as Fazal, Richa Meena as Samay’s mother, Dipen Raval as Samay’s father, and Paresh Mehta as the cinema manager.
One of the child actors, Rahul Koli, passed away in October after battling cancer, just a few days before the film’s theatrical run.

About the Film
The plot of the film revolves around a nine-year-old boy named Samay from a small town called Chalala in Suarashtra, Gujarat, who spends his entire summer watching films from the projection of a rundown movie theatre by bribing the projectionist, Fazal.
Being absolutely mesmerised by the magic of films and filmmaking, he decided to become a writer, unaware of the heartbreaking time that awaited him.
Hindi OTT Release Date
The film received immense love during its theatrical run, with praises for its theme, story, screenplay, cinematography, direction, and performances by the cast. Now, it has been released on the digital streaming platform Netflix on November 25, 2022.
