Directed by Edgar Wright, ‘Last Night In Soho’ is a British psychological horror film, the screenplay by Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns. Set in the heart of the sixties, the film’s inspiration has been other British horror films, such as Nicolas Roeg’s ‘Don’t Look Now and Roman Polanski’s ‘Repulsion’.
Initially, the film was titled ‘Red Light Area’ and ‘The Night Has A Thousand Eyes. The shooting started on May 23 2019 and ended up by August 30, 2019. Additional filming was scheduled from June 24, 2020, to August 5, 2020.

Last Night In Soho Release Date
On September 4, 2021, ‘Last Night In Soho’ had its world premiere at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival. In September, it was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, and on September 10, at the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival.
The film’s original release date was September 25, 2020, but due to Covid-19, was further postponed to April 23, 2021. It was further delayed again to October 22 and again to the following weekend to October 29, 2021.
‘Last Night In Soho’ Plot
A young woman named Eloise, with a sixth sense and passionate about fashion designing, time travels, and transports back to the year 1966 in London. Her body is spiritually exchanged with an iconic nightclub singer of that era whose name is Sandie.
She gets romantically involved with someone while in Sandie’s body but soon she realizes that Sandie’s life in her sixties is not exactly what it is now which is full of excitement and glamour. Things flip when past and present entwine with terrible instances.
