Liger was released in Hindi on Aug 26 (Fri) a day after the Telugu version, however, it had paid previews on Thu (Aug 25th) from where it earned around Rs 1.30 crores. Despite it riding on poor word of mouth, the film took a good start and accumulated around Rs 4.50 crores. In fact, the Hindi collections were better than the Telugu version on Fri despite Vijay being a big draw in Telugu states and having very little face value in the north.
