Aug 25 release sports film “Liger” is turning out to be the biggest disaster in the TFI this year, the industry suffered the same kind of setback due to Chiranjeevi’s Acharya.
It is a bilingual film and stars Vijay Deverakonda (Hindi debut), Ananya Panday (Telugu debut), Ramya Krishnan and Myke Tyson in the extended cameo role. And helmed by one of the celebrated south Indian directors Puri Jagganadh.

Biggest Disaster in TFI 2022?
Tollywood Film Industry had suffered a major setback this year due to the poor performance of Chiranjeevi-Ram Charan’s April 2022 release “Acharya”, it has recovered only 32.5% in terms of ROI for the buyers. Now, as per the Telugu trade circle, Liger is to become a bigger disaster than Acharya. Industry tracker AndhraBoxOffice.Com shared that Liger is unlikely to recover even 30%, have a look at the tweet below:

Box Office Hindi
The Hindi collection of the film is not good as well, it had a flat weekend and the major drop on Monday looks like will put a stop to its run. So far, it has accumulated 15 crores at the box office and will likely end its run with a 20 crore lifetime. Following this, it will enter the list of the major disasters in Bollywood films in 2022 with the likes of Radhe Shaym, Bachchan Paandey, Jersey, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Shamshera, Laal Singh Chaddha, and so on.
Liger was recently featured in the list of one of the lowest-rated films of 2022 on IMDb.

Box Office Collection Day 6
Telugu audience had rejected Liger on Day 2 itself and it looks like it will be removed from the theatres soon, in the coming days most of its shows will be replaced with Cobra, Ranga Ranga Vaibhanga and First Day First Show. Liger is a flop affair now and from here it will collect 1.5-2 crores gross on daily basis worldwide. It is expected to wrap up its lifetime under 60-65 crores gross at the box office worldwide.
