How’s the Hype?
So far, the hype is good, the trailer, songs, and promotional activities have created quite a buzz surrounding the film. Going by the trailer, the storyline of the film revolves around the titular character Liger (portrayed by Vijay Deverakonda) with a stutter, the trailer gives hints that the film is imbued with emotions, romance, and action.
Ramya Krishnan will be essaying a powerful character after Baahubali 2, she and Boxing legend Mike Tyson (marking his debut in Indian cinema) grabbed the eyeballs in the trailer along with Deverakonda’s performance.
Box Office Collection
As we know, it’s raining hits in Tollywood currently, with the success of Bimbisara, Sita Ramam and now Karthikeya 2, the box office drought of 2 months of TFI has ended. But up north the dry spell still continues, the expectations were on Biggies Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, but both the films have been rejected by the audience.
Now all eyes will be on the bilingual film Liger as per our early projection, it could take a start of anywhere between Rs 12-18 crores since reading the audience’s mind has become tough given the below-par openings of LSC and Raksha Bandhan. However, going by the advances, the film is sure to take a blockbuster opening at the box office Telugu for a tier-2 actor.
