Vijay Deverakonda-Ananya Panday led highly anticipated sports drama film was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Telugu languages, and also released in dubbed Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions.
The shooting of the film commenced on January 20, 2020, in Mumbai but after 40 days, the makers had to halt the shooting due to the rising Covid-19 cases in the country.
The second schedule was filmed in Hyderabad in September 2021 and the portion with Mike Tyson was shot in Las Vegas, the USA in November 2021, wrapped up the entire shoot on February 6, 2022.
Finally, released on 25th of August after so much hype and buzz where lead actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday promoted it across the country.
Liger OTT Rights
The post-theatrical OTT streaming rights of the film acquired by one of the most popular streaming platforms, Disney+Hotstar for a massive amount of Rs. 65 Crore, as per the reports of News18 and Mirchi 9. The reports also added that the post-theatrical satellite rights of the film have been bagged by Star Network.
From 22nd September 2022, film is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar but Hindi version is unavailable, Hindi version will be released this Friday (21st of Oct) only on Disney+ Hotstar, here’s official confirmation.

Liger Theatrical Release Date & Production
Initially, the film was slated to have its theatrical release in November 2020 but got postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so it was rescheduled for September 9, 2021. However, again the date got canceled and later the film scheduled to hit the big screen on August 25, 2022, worldwide.
Earlier the concept trailer of the film was also released on May 1, 2021, and the theater release date was announced on December 31, 2021, with the first glimpse poster with the tagline “Saala Crossbreed”.

Liger Star Cast
The dashing Vijay Deverakonda is the male lead in the film who is playing a kickboxer and had to undergo a dramatic physical transformation to fit in the character named Liger.
Apart from Deverakonda, Students of the Year 2 fame, beautiful Ananya Pandey is playing the female lead role in the film.

About the Film
Apart from writing and directing the film, Puri also co-produced it with Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Charmme Kaur, and Apoorva Mehta under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.
If we talk about technical work in the film, the cinematography is handled by Vishnu Sarma while editing is done by Junaid Siddiqui.The film has music and background score by Mani Sharma and songs by popular music composer and singer of Bollywood Tanishk Bagchi.
