Love Jihad is an upcoming comedy satire movie which is directed as well as written by Bash Mohammed, who received lots of appreciation for his 2015 critically acclaimed Malayalam drama film Lukka Chuppi, which starred Jayasurya, Murali Gopi, Joju George, Remya Nambeesanand in pivotal roles.
Apart from directing, Bash Mohammed also wrote the screenplay of the Love Jihad along with Sreekumar Arackal and it is bankrolled by Sheeja Bash. Santhosh Krishnan has served as Executive producer while Prakash Velayudhan is the Director of Photography.
The film has music by Shann Rehman along with William Francis who has composed the background score while the songs of the movie have lyrics by Swathi Das. Manoj is handling the editing work.
Love Jihad Star Cast
- Popular Mollywood star Suraj Venjaramoodu will play the lead role in the movie as Balu. He will also seen in the lead role along with Prithiviraj Sukumaran in upcoming Malayalam political drama Jana Gana Mana
- Actress and screenwriter Lena will be playing as Sulu in the film. She recently featured in critically acclaimed gangster drama Bheeshma Parvam and Suspense crime thriller Twenty One Gms
- Siddique will play as Kareem
- Gayatri Arun who previously appeared in films Sarvopari Palakkaran, Ormma, Thrissur Pooram and one, will play as Lakshmi in the film. She is well-known for playing Deepthi IPS in Malayalam daily soap Parasparam
- Meera Nandan will play as Jesni
Plot of the Film
Story of the film revolves around two Indian middle class families, one is Hindu family and another is Muslim family, residing in the Dubai. It will further tell about the mishaps that happens between the two families when a teen girl from the Muslim Family falls in love with a boy from Hindu family.
Love Jihad Teaser
The first 30-second long teaser of this comedy satire drama film was released on March 10, 2022. It features actors Siddique and Lena who are playing as Kareem and Sulu respectively sitting in a car and talking and Siddique is more likely, playing Lena’s father.

Love Jihad Release Date
The makers of the movie have not revealed the release date of the movie yet. We can expect some announcements regarding its release date tomorrow on April 2 along with the release of its second teaser.
