Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest offering “Love Today” is riding on terrific word of mouth. The film witnessed excellent occupancy on the first day and now due to glowing word of mouth, it is doing amazing business in the pre-sales.
On the online ticket bookings site, Bookmyshow, most of the shows of Love Today are either sold out or fast filling and this is the case till Sunday. The film has a 9.8/10 rating with 6.4k reviews.

Box Office Collection Day 2
It has taken a start of 2.45 crore nett at the box office. Pradeep’s film is getting rave reviews for the writing, comic & emotional portions, Yuvan Shankar’s music, and the performance of the main lead.
As per the trade estimates, it showed a jump of over 116% on Sat to take the total domestic collections to 7.5 Cr+ which is a very good number for a low-budget film.
Now, going by the trends, it is sure to see a surge in the collections on Sun as well. It is certain to get past the 10 crore nett mark on Sunday.
‘Love Today’ is a dream of 3 years
Pradeep who donned multiple hats in the film wrote an emotional post about making the movie which he said was a 3yr dream. Hours before the flick was to hit the screens, he tweeted, ” Love Today is a 3yr dream. I chose to do a second First Film.”
He further talked about feelings attached to the film and also thanked the producer AGS Kalpathi S Aghoram for believing in him. Check out his tweet, below:

Pradeep Ranganathan directed and wrote the film along with starring, it is the adaptation of his own short film App(a) Lock. Love Today is bankrolled by AGS Entertainment. Yuvan Shankar Raja has given music that is getting a lot of accolades from the audience. The runtime of the movie is 2hr 34min or 154mins, it is certified UA by the censor board.
