Young actor/director Pradeep Ranganathan starrer Tamil romantic comedy drama film Love Today has turned out to be a blockbuster and one of the highest grossing Tamil film of 2022.
The film, which was released on November 4, 2022, opened to highly positive reviews from critics and audiences. Following its Tamil release, the demand for a dubbed Telugu version also rose, and finally, on November 25, it was released in Telugu too.
Directed, written, and acted by Ranganathan, the film is inspired by his short film Appa(a) Lock. It marks his first film as an actor and his second film as a director after the 2019 comedy drama film Comali.
The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana in the lead roles, with Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, Sathyaraj, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Akshaya Udayakumar, Finally Barath among others, playing supporting roles.
Story
Produced by AGS Entertainments, the film’s plot revolves around a young couple, Pradeep and Nikitha, who decide to take their relationship to the next level, which is why they approach the latter’s dad for the purpose.
However, her dad, Venu Shastry, puts a crazy condition for the marriage and asks the couple to exchange their phones for a day, and if they ended without any issues, he would say yes to their wedding. What follows is a hilarious and emotional sequence of events that put their lives in mystery.
OTT Release Date
After a successful theatrical run, the film has been released on OTT as its digital rights acquired by Netflix, streaming from December 2, 2022, on the platform in its original version only.
As of now, the Telugu audience is enjoying the movie on the big screen, and as it is getting an amazing response there, it may take a bit longer to make its way to OTT.
After Tamil, the Telugu version is also available on Netflix with Malayalam and Kannada.

After a successful three-week run in Tamil Nadu, the film was finally released on November 25, 2022, in Telugu-speaking states, and here too the result has been mind-blowing. Having grossed over Rs. 50 crore from Tamil Nadu alone, the film is already one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
