Mollywood film industry’s multiple-award-winning young actor Nivin Pauly will soon be back on screen with his upcoming fantasy drama film Maha Veeryar.
This is the most-awaited project of Nivin as along with playing the lead role, he also produced the film.
Nivin is the winner of two Kerala State Films Awards and three Filmfare South Awards for his exceptional contribution to the Mollywood Film Industry.
His latest release is the 2021 satire film Kanakam Kaamini Kalaham which was produced under his own banner and premiered on Disney + Hotstar on 12 November last year.

Maha Veeryar First Look Poster
Nivin Pauly’s own banner Pauly Jr. Pictures dropped the first look poster of his much-awaited film Maha Veeryar on Friday, 11th February 2022.
This quirky first look poster features Nitin Pauly and Mollywood’s other popular actor-cum-producer Asif Ali with a colorful background.
The poster showcases Nivin Pauly in the attire of a saint while Asif Ali is featured in a king’s attire with a horse behind him.
The makers as well as the leading star cast of the film also shared this first look poster of the fim through their respective social media handles.
Maha Veeryar Production & Release Date
The filming of this highly-anticipated fantasy drama commenced on February 24, 2021 with a Pooja Ceremony.
The film was shot in Rajasthan and Kerala. After filming for almost two months, the team completely wrapped up the shoot on April 20, 2021.
Pauly announced the wrap of the entire shoot through a social media post expressing his gratitude towards the entire team for successfully completing the shoot.
Now the official release date has been announced by the film’s makers 21 July 2022:

Maha Veeryar Star Cast
The lead actors of the film- Nivin Pauly and Asif Ali are coming back together once again, after 2011 multi starrer sports drama film Sevens, which was helmed by the legendary director Joshiy.

Kannada actress and model Shanvi Srivastava, who, in one of the posters shared by Pauly, was featured in the attire of a queen, is playing the major female lead in the film. With this film she is making her debut in Malayalam Cinema.

The film will also feature actors Siddique, Lalu Alex, Vijay Menon, Major Ravi, Mallika Sukumaran, Krishna Prasad, Kalabhavan Prajod, M.P. Michael, who is better known by his stage name Lal, in the supporting roles.

The film is directed as well as written by Abrid Shine who is collaborating with Nivin Pauly, after two humongous hits 1983 and Action Hero Biju. This film marks Abrid’s 5th directorial venture.
Nivin Pauly’s Pauly Jr. Pictures bankrolled the film in association with P.S. Shamans’ Indian Movie Makers.
Cinematography and editing in the film is handled by Chandru Selvaraju and Manoj respectively while it has music and background score by Ishaan Chhabra.
