This web series is helmed by Anshai Lal, who made his directorial debut with Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh starrer 2017 Hindi fantasy drama Phillauri.
Along with Anshai Lal, Atul Mongia, the most acclaimed casting director of the Bollywood industry, will also direct the series.
It is bankrolled by Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma under their own production house “Clean Slate Films”.
They also produced Amazon Prime’s 2020 crime thriller web series Paatal Lok, which turned out to be critically acclaimed as well as a controversial web series of the given year.
Mai is the second digital venture of the production house. Earlier it produced films like NH10, Bulbul, Phillauri, and Pari.
