Clash
Major is locked horns on Friday with two other much-hyped films Samrat Prithviraj and Vikram. All these three films are expected to give tough competition to each other at the box office. Vikram is releasing in a similar number of theatres as Major (410) in AP/TG while Prithviraj’s Tamil and Telugu screen counts are 200+.
Box Office Collection
As per the reports, the small budget film collects Rs 13.10 Cr gross WW on the first day, it collects the most from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
It will need positive word of mouth to perform well in other circuits. The Hindi collection of the film is very poor, it opened with only Rs 96 Lakhs on Friday.
Many are comparing it with the 2021 biographical war film Shershaah which was directly streamed on Amazon Prime. The film was based on the life of Kargil War hero Vikram Batra. The film was loved by the viewers so much so that it became one of the most viewed films on the platform that year. However, it remains to be seen whether Major creates the same magic as Shershaah or not.
