Actor Adivi Sesh starrer biographical drama film Major hit the big screens on June 3 and is receiving positive response from the audience as well as critics. Based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who attain martyrdom during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack that shook the entire country in 2008.
The film ‘Major‘ was simultaneously shot in Telugu as well as Hindi and marks the Hindi debut of Adivi Sesh who played the titular role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. He also penned the story of this Sashi Kiran Tikka directorial.

Produced by Tollywood heartthrob Mahesh Babu and his wife Namratha Sirodkar’s G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures International Productions and A+S Films, had a limited theatrical release on May 24, 2022 in selected cities across India before having a grand theatre release on June 3, 2022 worldwide.
Now everyone is waiting for the post theatre digital release of the film, global OTT streaming giant Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical OTT released rights of the movie and date is confirmed for 3rd July (Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam).

Major received an amazing response from audiences and critics who are calling the performance of Adivi Sesh as his career-best performance so far. The film is an ultimate blend of pride, bravery and emotions.
It was released in Hindi and Telugu along with Malayalam dubbed version and earned a whopping Rs. 13.40 crore at the box-office worldwide on the first day of release. As of June 15, the film grossed over Rs. 60 cr.
