This Friday, there will be a major clash of three highly buzzed films of Indian cinema at the box office, Vikram, Samrat Prithviraj, and Major. While we have already discussed the former two, here we are giving you the details of the bilingual biographical film Major.
Major ahead of the release had free pre-screenings for audiences in various cities, screenings were sold out and received out and out positive reviews. Now latest reports suggest that the film will have paid premieres all across the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states the night before 2nd June.
For the unversed, Major is a bilingual film (Hindi and Telugu) and is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, it is bankrolled by superstar Mahesh Babu with Anurag Reddy and Sharath Chandra. It will be released on 3 June 2022 worldwide in three languages Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu.
Advance Bookings
The film got outstanding advance bookings also, it did the business of Rs 3.10 Cr from Telugu, Rs 60 L from Hindi and Rs 2 L to take the total advance bookings collections Rs 3.72 Cr for the opening day.

Reviews & Screen Counts
Major got a standing ovation from the audience in the pre-screening and received an average of 3.5 out of 5 stars from the critics. It is being said that the film will be released on 800-1000 screens in the home market. And will be released on around 1500-2000 screens in India.

Box Office Predictions
Major is made with a budget of over Rs 30 crore, going by the positive reviews and the response from the cinephiles for the film. The film has an emotional touch in its favor also, so we assume that it will be accumulating around Rs 15-18 Cr gross on the first day.
The film had done the promotion in full swing and created a lot of buzz among the Indian cinephiles, the trailer has also been received well by the movie lovers. Let’s see how the audience responds to this biographical drama, many are comparing it with the recently released The Kashmir Files, which went on to become an all-time blockbuster.
