Michael is a pan-India action thriller which stars Sundeep Kishan in the main lead, it is produced by Bharath Chowdary and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner Karan C Productions LLP & Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP.

The first look poster of actor Sundeep Kishan was released in May 2022, the poster sees Kishan standing in a war zone donning trousers and naked upper part doused with blood cuts and six-pack abs, the actor holding a pistol in one hand and the scarf in other while looking at the adversaries whose intent seems to kill him with weapons like sharp knives, guns, and spears.

Sundeep Kishan is playing the titular role of Michael on-screen, it was one of the much-awaited south Indian films of 2023.

Michael Release Date

Michael has been released in five Indian languages Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi on 3 February 2023. The film was issued a ‘UA’ certificate by the censor board with an approved runtime of 2hr 35mins or 155mins.

Michael Box Office Collection

The film opened on a good note at the box office however, failed to gain momentum over the weekend. It collected around Rs 7 Cr on the first weekend. Check out the first weekend collections of the movie.

Sundeep’s film needs to hold very well on the weekdays to complete the break even.

Michael Screen Counts

Michael is released overseas by Sarigama Cinemas, and as per the reports, the Telugu version of the film has been released in 185 locations in the USA alone. Which marks the biggest release in the career of Sundeep Kishan. The premiere in the U.S. began on Feb 2nd.

As per a report of ETimes, Michael has been released in 300+ theatres in Tamil Nadu and 500 screens in the rest of India for a total of 800+ screens in India.

Michael Star Cast

It is surely a delight to the fans to watch three superstars Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Kishan on the big screens together. Tamil actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is playing a key role in the movie.

Sundeep Kishan, who was seen in ‘The Family Man’ playing Major Vikram, along with Vijay Sethupathi will take on Gautham Vasudev Menon, the latter is reportedly playing the antagonist role in Michael.

The film also has Divyansha Kaushik, Varun Sandesh, Ayyappa Sharma, and Anasuya among others.

Gautham who has directed many hit projects in south cinema, of late, has shown his prowess in acting also leaving the cinephiles awestruck with his performances.

Michael OTT Release Date

The post-theatrical rights of Michael have been acquired by the streaming platform Aha, however, there is no official announcement from the OTT platform regarding its release date.

The film is expected to release on the platform on 13 March 2023, five weeks after theatrical release, reportedly.
