Produced by Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Boney Kapoor under the banner of his Bayview Projects, Mili is an upcoming Hindi Survival thriller and an official remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Helen, which stars Anna Ben, Noble Babu Thomas and Lal in the lead role.
The Malayalam film was directed by Muthukutty Xavier, who has also been retained to produce the upcoming Hindi remake. Helen won two National Film Awards, including Best Debut Film of a Director and Best Make-up Artist. The film’s lead actress, Ana Ben, also won the Kerala State Film Award- Special Jury Award for her role.
Helen received an amazing response from critics and the public. Following the success of the film, it was also remade into Tamil as Anbirkiniyal. In August 2020, Boney Kapoor bought the rights to remake the Malayalam film in Hindi, which has got its title as Mili.

Mili Release Date
The A.R. Rahman musical will be released theatrically on November 4, 2022. The film will be distributed by Zee Studios. Shooting of the film started on August 5, 2021 and was wrapped up on November 26, 2021. Lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics of the film’s songs whereas Ritesh Shah has written its screenplay.
Mili First Look & Star Cast
The Boney Kapoor production stars his daughter and Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role. Today, on October 12, 2022. Along with revealing the film’s title, the makers also dropped the first appearance.
Going by the film’s poster, Janhvi’s character Mili Naudiyal is a 24-year old B.Sc. Nursing graduate. The second poster features her freezing in cold and it reads the tagline “Frozen but not shaken.
“Mili is Janhvi’s sixth film after Dhadak, Ghost Stories, Gunjan Saxena, Roohi and Good Luck Jerry. The film stars Sunny Kaushal opposite Janhvi Kapoor in his first collaboration with her. Veteran actor Manoj Pahwa is playing Jahnvi’s father in the film.

Mili Teaser & Trailer
After intriguing teaser, trailer has been released on 15th of Oct, this is a true story based film, story of a missing girl surviving in very low temperature, reminds Rajkummar Rao’s Trapped movie.
The teaser of this survival thriller is out and it looks promising and engaging. The 48-second teaser features Janhvi stuck in a room where she is freezing and struggling to survive while breaking out of it. We also see some glimpses of Manoj Pahwa and Sunny Kaushal in the teaser.
Boney Kapoor has shared the trailer with the caption “Dying to survive”.
