The 14th edition of the Smule Mirchi Music Awards 2022 took place on the eve of March 7 and March 8. Many known singers like Neha Kakkar, Meet Bros, Neeti Mohan, Sonu Nigam, gave spectacular performances at the singing gala ceremony.
Ahead of the awards distribution, the singing stars surprised everyone with their astounding looks at the Red Carpet event of the SMMA 2022.
Besides the singing community, Bollywood actors Tapsee Pannu, Pratik Gandhi, Karishma Kapoor, and Vidya Balan were also seen gracing the Red Carpet, Miss India 2020 winner, and the participant of the Miss World 2021 Manasa Varanasi also graced the show.
Host
SMMA 2022 is hosted by the melody king Sonu Nigam, joined him singing sensation Neha Bhasin and the singer Meiyan Chang as co-host. It also marks Sonu Nigam’s 8th show as a host of the Mirchi Music Awards. This time the Music Awards is presented by Malabar Gold & Diamonds.

Smule Mirchi Music Awards 2022 was broadcasted on the pay television channel Colors on 27 March 2022 at 9 pm (Sunday). This will be the fifth time that Colors will be hosting the annual singing awards, earlier the channel telecasted the 4th, 5th, 6th, and the 13th edition of the award ceremony.

The award show witnessed the rocking performances from known singers like Lucky Ali, Neha Kakkar, Rohanpreet, etc. It also paid tribute to the legendary singers Indian Disco King and Nightingale’s late Bappi Lahiri & Lata Mangeshkar respectively.
Singer Khusboo Garewal along with music-composer Meet Bros paid the tribute to Bappi Lahiri while the host Sonu Nigam with Shruti Pathak, Sneha Shankar, and Jonita Gandhi paid tributes to Lata Mangeshkar in their beautiful voices.
Most awards were bagged by the Shershah album which was the biggest soundtrack of the year 2021, it was the fastest Indian music album to cross 1 billion streams across all music platforms.
