Talking about the reviews, on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes the film has only a 16% of approval rating, the film received negative reviews from The Hollywood Reporter, Chicago-Sun Times, Entertaining Weekly, Time Magazine, and The New York Times, they called the film predictable and lacks intriguing story. Times of India gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, and Koimoi 2/5 stars.

Talking about the box office collection, the 75 million dollars (Rs 570 Crore approx) budget movie is expected to churn out 22 million
dollars (INR 167 Crore approx) from the home market, and Rs 13 million dollars (INR 98 Cr approx) from Canada on an opening day.
