Zee5 has come up with another love story titled MRS. and Mr. Shameem. It is Zindagi’s latest original series. Zee5, during Zindagi’s relaunch in 2020, announced a line-up of five-star-studded original web series, which included Mann Jogi.
It was later titled MRS. and Mr. Shameem. Zindagi Channel was owned by Sony Entertainment Enterprises and was launched in 2014. It syndicated content from various countries including Brazil, Pakistan, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine, etc.
Later, in 2016 after the Uri attack, Zindagi removed all the Pakistani shows from their line-up. After the launch of Zee5, Zindagi had rebranded as Zindagi Digital, which streams digital exclusive international shows from various countries.
Zee5 produces 6-7 original shows every year and a large part would consist of content from neighboring countries such as Bangladesh and Pakistan. Zindagi’s original MRS. and Mr. Shameem is a Pakistani web drama show.
MRS. and Mr. Shameem OTT Release Date
The makers revealed the release date of this much-anticipated drama series in the first week of March 2022. The official Twitter handles of Zindagi and Zee5 announce the release date.
It has been premiered on Friday, March 11, 2022, on Zee5, globally in more than 190 countries. The makers of the movie shared the release date with a poster that features an illustrative version combined with some pictures of the leading star cast of the show.

MRS. and Mr. Shameem Star Cast
It features a versatile actress of the Pakistan Film Industry Saba Qamar in the lead role who is playing the character of a bold and outspoken girl Umana. Saba is a prominent name in the Pakistan film industry, She made her Bollywood debut with the 2017 comedy-drama Hindi Medium opposite lat Irrfan Khan.
Nauman Ijaz is playing the male lead as her husband Shameem who is a decent guy. Apart from them, the show will feature Agha Mustafa Hassan, Uzma Hassan, Gul-e-Rana, and many others in the Key Roles. This web show will depict the love story of two people who are completely different in personality.
MRS. and Mr. Shameem Makers
The series is helmed by noted Pakistani director Kasif Nisar who in the past directed many dramas such as Dumpukht – Aatis E Ishq and O Rangreza.
Apart from directing the show, Kasif Nisar also bankrolled it in association with Misbah Shafique. The show has been written by playwright Sajjad Gul, popularly known as Saji.
