Popular Indian OTT streaming platform Zee5, which is the largest OTT platform for not only Indian but also for the South Asian content, announced its yet another Original series titled Mukhbir: The Story of a Spy, on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of our country, this year.
The spy thriller series will tell the inspiring tale of the unsung heroes of our country, who risked their lives in service of our motherland. Mukhbir is directed by Shivam Nair and Jayprad Desai.
Nair, earlier had directed Kay Kay Menon starrer acclaimed spy thriller series Special OPS for Hotstar. Apart from that he also directed four films including Ahista Ahista, Maharathi, Bhaag Johnny and Naam Shabana, where as Desai is known for his work in Rosebush, Nagrik and Hutatma etc.
Mukhbir Star Cast
The series stars actor veteran actor Prakash Raj as an Indian spy named SKS Moorthy. The National award winning actor’s most recent film was Pan India blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan:I. Along with him, the series also stars:

On October 10, 2022, the makers of the series shared the first look of the series featuring three of the key actors-Prakash Raj, Zain Khan and Adil Hussain.
Today a character poster of veteran actor Prakash Raj, which features him on the front page of a news paper. As per the poster he is playing the role of Deputy Director of the Counter Surveillance Agency of India, SKS Moorthy. The poster also feature the date “17 July 1965”.

About the Series
Produced by Victor Tango Entertainment, the series will bring to the global audience the story of India’s secret agent who played a monumental role with limited resources during the India Pakistan war of 1965, also known as the Second Kashmir War.
