In 2022, the platform unveiled an intriguing new unscripted lineup of its upcoming projects which included brand new crime drama, as well as several documentaries and reality shows.
Along with the second seasons of Indian Matchmaking and Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives to lady superstar Nayanthara and Vignesh’s grand wedding premiere, Netflix had it all to make your upcoming days better and entertaining.
Not only that, it also gave us the glimpse of the crime docu-series Indian Predator: The Diary of a Serial Killer and the second one is Mumbai Mafia: Police Vs The Underworld, which is based on the real incidents that happened when the crime by underworld was in peak in the Mumbai City.

The documentary series is directed by Francis Longhurst along with Raaghav Dar while Morgan Matthews and Sophie Jones served as the executive producers of the series under the banner of Minnow Films whereas Sobti Gupta and Batul Mukhtiar are the producers.
Longhurst and Matthews collaborated for the documentary based on the latter’s dad titled This Was My Dad: The Rise & Fall of Geoffrey Matthews, as producer and director, respectively.
About the Series
The docu-series follows the battle which raged on Mumbai’s streets between the city’s police and the underworld in the 1990s. On one side the infamous gang of gangsters, D-company, founded and controlled by the most wanted terrorist to date Dawood Ibrahim, was making its grip stronger in the city with its violent operations, racketeering, drugs, and terrorism.
On the other hand, a rising bond of Encounter Specialists, a team of maverick mustachioed police officers tasked with taking control of the streets and came to the rescue of people.

In the documentary, the interview of police officers, involved in the fight against terrorism will share their experiences and the tactics behind their anti-terrorism operations.
