Directed and written by debutant Sam Rodrigues, Masusi is an upcoming Tamil action drama film starring Prabhu Deva. It is bankrolled by John Britto under his banner Joy Film Box Entertainment.
On technical front, the film has editing by National Award winning editor Lewellyn Gonsalvez and cinematography credit goes to Vignesh Vasu who previously shot films such as Theal, Katteri and Naai Sekar Returns.
Masusi Star Cast
Popular choreographer-turned-actor Prabhu Deva is playing the major lead in the film as an IPS officer. The actor has many projects in pipeline for this year such as Lucky Man, Yung Mung Sung, Oomai Vizhigal, Flash Back, his most awaited adult psychological drama film Bagheera.
There will not be a female lead in the movie as it is a man- centric movie. The film’s director states that when narrated the script to Prabhu Deva, he told him not to include any female lead as the story is about a realistic cop and including the female will disrupt the flow of the story.
The director also stated that he was looking for a person who looks like a North India thug and hence he cast Imran Adil, who is from Kashmir to play as antagonist in the film along with Master Mahendran, who is best known for playing the lead in 2013 Tamil film Vizha.
The film also stars John Vijay, VTV Ganesh, George Marian, Thangathurai, Malayalam actress Leona Lishoy and Aruldoss and others in supporting roles.
Masusi First Look
On February 17, 2021, the makers unveiled the first look poster of the film which features Prabhu Deva in a fierce look, having intense and angry expressions on his face and holding the iron-rod like thing on his right hand.

Another poster of the film was revealed on April 3, 2022 on the occasion of the 49th birthday of choreographer-cum-filmmaker-cum-actor. The poster features him as a part of an elite fighting unit, wielding a gun.
