Kollywood star Karthi starrer Naa Peru Shiva 2 is all set to be released in the upcoming days. It is a romantic action thriller drama.
Naa Peru Shiva 2 is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil power-packed action film ‘Madras’, which was released on September 26, 2014.
Naa Peru Shiva, the first part of the movie was released in 2010, it was also the Telugu-dubbed version of Karthi’s 2010-release ‘Naam Mahaan Alla’, where he played the male lead role opposite Kajal Aggarwal.
The Telugu version of the movie was a big hit compared to the Tamil version, in which the film was actually made.
It was also released in its Hindi version as ‘Jungbaaz’. Both Tamil and Hindi versions were released across 230 screens.
Since the first part of the Telugu-dubbed version was a big success, keeping this in mind, the filmmakers have once again decided to release the Telugu version of ‘Madras’ as ‘Naa Peru Shiva 2’.
Actor Karthi, born as Karthik Kumar is a very versatile actor of Tamil Cinema. He is the younger brother of Jai Bhim fame megastar Suriya and the youngest son of popular actor and visual artist of Tamil Cinema ‘Shivakumar’.
He acted in many hit films such as Paiya (2010), Siruthai (2011), Thozha (2016), Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017), Kadaikutty Singam (2018), and Kaithi (2019).
Naa Peru Shiva 2 Release Date
The Original Version (Tamil) version of the movie “Madras” was released on September 26, 2020. It was a big success for Karthi, as it was nominated many times in various Film Festivals and won many of them.
The film received 6 South International Movie Awards in 2015, 7 Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards, and 4 Edison Awards.
After gaining this much success, the film is all set to release in its Telugu version. It was to hit the big screen on January 13, 2022, but got postponed due to COVID-19.

Along with Karthi, who played the role of Kaali, Catherine Tresa played Kaali’s love interest, Kalaiarasi.
With the Tamil Version of the movie “Madras”, Katherine made her Tamil debut in 2014. The film also stars Kalaiyarasan, Charles Vinoth, Riythvika, V.I.S. Jayapalan, Poster Nandakumar and Mime Gopi in pivotal roles.
The Film is directed as well as written by Pa. Ranjith, who also directed actor Arya starrer Tamil sports action film “Sarpatta Parambarai”, which was released through Amazon Prime Video on July 22, 2021.
The film was bankrolled by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green while music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
