Directed by Aashiq Abu, Naaradan is Malayalam political thriller drama film, starring Tovino Thomas, Anna Ben, Sharafudheen and Vijayaraghavan is all set to have its post-theatrical release soon.
It is written by Unni R. and produced by Santhosh T. Kuruvilla, Rima Kallingal along with director Ashiq Abu under the banner of OPM Cinemas.
The film has music by Sekhar Menon and original score by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair while cinematography and editing by Jaffer Zadique and Saiju Sreedharan.

The film features lead actors Tovino Thomas as Chandraprakash, Anna Ben as Shaakira Mohammed, Sharafudheen as Pradeep John, Joy Mathew as Shivadas Kurup and Vijayaraghavan as Babuji.
Along with the leading star cast, it Balachandran Chullikkad, Raghunath Paleri, Jayaraj Warrier, Rafi, Kunchan, Dileesh Nair, Rajesh Madhavan, Indrans, Jaffer Idukki, Renji Panicker, Lukman Avaran, Vijaykumar Prabhakaran, Koottickal Jayachandran and Navas Vallikkunnu in supporting roles.
Naaradan Reviews & Box Office Performance
The film released on March 3, 2022 along with Malayalam megastar Mammootty’s action thriller Bheeshma Parvam and opened to highly reviews from audience as well as critics.
Whether the dialogues, screenplay, story or direction, the film won the audience’s heart in every aspect and the short yet interesting music pieces of the film also have a novel feel.
Despite having the direct clash with the big star movie like Bheeshma Parvam, Aashiq Abu’s Naaradan was successful in pushing the audience into theaters.
It was made with an estimated budget of Rs. 7 Crore and on the opening day grossed Rs. 50 Lakh in India. In the first week it managed to gross Rs. 4 to 5 Crore. The final report of its total collection is still not revealed.
Naaradan OTT Release Date
The film was theatrically released on March 3, 2022 . Earlier, it was scheduled to be released in April 2021 but was postponed due to COVID-19, it was later rescheduled for January 27, 2022 but again got postponed due to Omicron.
Now, after having a successful theater release the film is all set to have its digital premiere soon. Reportedly, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film.
Although the makers haven’t confirmed the date of release, the sources and critics are saying that it will be released on April 8, 2022 on the platform.

Plot of the Movie
The story follows Chandraprakash, an upcoming journalist of News Malayalam, who hosts a talk show and is a television news anchor with a huge audience appeal.
He is under pressure for doing the stories that channel’s TRP from his editors and bosses, but soon he throws away his moral principle to be number one when his fellow journalist Pradeep does a new story and lands a job at News Malayalam.
He became a power hungry journalist who can go to any extent to get the highest television rating by showing fabricated and half -backed on his TV channel.
