Tamil actor-director M. Sasikumar has collaborated with director Era. Saravanan on the latter’s third directorial venture, titled Nandhan, following the 2015 romantic comedy Kathukutty and, the 2021 drama film “Udanpirappe,” in which actress/producer Jyothika played alongside Sasikumar.
Sasikumar, known for his work in movies like Naadodigal, Poraali, Masters, Appa, and Kennedy Club, made his directorial debut with the 2008 period action film Subramaniapuram, which became a blockbuster.
Also, Sasikumar recently had two back-to-back releases, the action thriller film Naan Mirugamaai Maara and the sports action drama film Kaari, and now he is gearing up for the upcoming flick, which is billed as an intense action entertainer.
Nandhan First Look Out
On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, actor-politician Udhayanidhi released the first look poster on his social media handle, and it features a close-up of Sasikumar sporting a beard and a wicked look. As soon as the poster was released, it sparked the inquisitiveness of fans regarding the film, which seems to be a high-octane action entertainer, as per its first poster.

Nandhan Star Cast
While Sasikumar is playing the lead roles in the film, Bigg Boss Tamil fame Suruthi Periyasamy who is playing his wife. Her character is that of a happy-go-lucky woman who sells cashew packets on the roadside.
Along with them, the film also features actor-director Balaji Sakthivel in the role of an antagonist. The film has ‘Oru Kitain Karauna Manu’ fame Saran RV as the cinematographer.
About the Film
The shooting of Nandhan, which is based on some real-life events, took place in the Pudukottai and Thanjavur districts of Tamil Nadu. While the shooting work has been completed, the final phase of work is going on at full speed.
Set in a village near Pudukottai, the film’s story revolves around the labourers who work for a landlord and how the latter exploits the labourers.
