Directed by M.G. Srinivas aka Srini, Old Monk is a Kannada comedy entertainment drama movie, which was released on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Apart from directing the film, Srini has featured as the lead actor in the movie and has also worn the hat of producer along with Pradeep Sharma, Srujan Yarabou, Saurabh-Vaibhav. Further, Srini along with Santhosh Nandakumar and Prasanna VM have also served as the writer of the film.
On technical front, the cinematography is handled by Bharat Parashuram while editing is done by Deepu S. Kumar. The film has music by music composer duo Saurabh-Vaibhav, who earlier composed the music of Kartik Aryan starrer Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and also won the Award for Best Music at IIFA Awards.

Old Monk OTT Release Date
This comedy action entertainer hit the big screen on February 25, 2022 and received very positive response from audience and critics. The performance of the actor-director M.G. Srinivas, along with the rest of the star cast, each and every dialogue and comical timing were heavily praised by the cinephiles.
Now, it is all set to be streamed on OTT soon. According to some media reports, Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film.

The makers have also made the special announcement regarding the World TV Premiere of the movie and now it is confirmed that the film will have its TV premiere on April 2, 2022 on Star Suvarna at 12:00 PM.

Plot of the Film
The film explore the urban middle class life where the plot beings with a touch of mythology, which showcased Lord Krishna fights Rukmani ended up cursing Narada to lead the life on earth, the curse that can only be broken if he (Srini) find love and family acceptance.
Unfortunately, Narada born into a very conservative family, as Appanna, which is played by Srini. The family is that much narrow-minded that it not even believe in love marriage.
