Acclaimed South Indian actress Navya Nair starrer Oruthee is an upcoming Malayalam thriller drama movie that will be released soon.
This film will mark a huge comeback of two times Kerala State Film Awards winning actress, in the Malayalam cinema, after Shyju Anthikkad’s 2012 Scene Onnu Nammude Veedu.
The actress was last seen in director P. Vasu’s Kannada action thriller Drishya 2 which was released on December 10 last year and opened to positive reviews. It was the sequel to the director’s 2014 film Drishya.
Now, as Navya is making a comeback in the Mollywood film industry after a decade, her fans are very excited to witness the excellent acting skills of the actress again.
Oruthee Cast & Crew
Along with Navya Nair, who is playing the character named Balamani, the film will also star Malayalam actor and film composer Vinayakan in the key role as a cop. Like Navya, he is also the awardee of Kerala State Film Awards for the Best Actor Category.
He won the award for his amazing acting performance in Rajiv Ravi’s 2016 action drama Kammatipaadam, starring megastar Dulquer Salman in the lead role.
He was last seen in crime thriller Operation Java, last year. Apart from Oruthee, he has two more films to be released this year including Malayalam film Karinthandan and Tamil spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram which stars Aparichit fame superstar Vikram in the lead role.
The upcoming thriller also stars Saiju, KPAC Lalitha, Santosh Keezhatoor, Vyshakh, Sreedevi Varma and Kalabhavan Haneef in supporting roles.
The film is directed by V K Prakash and it is produced by K.V. Abdhul Nazar and Benzy Nazar under the banner of Benzy Production while the screenplay of the film is written by S. Suresh Babu.
If we talk about technical work, the film has cinematography by Jimshi Khalid and editing by Lijo Paul. It has music by Gopi Sundar and Thakara Band while lyrics by Alankode Leelakrishnan, Hari Narayanan and Abru Manoj.
Oruthee Trailer Out
The makers of the movie released the intriguing trailer of this most awaited thriller drama on February 17, 2022 on the official Youtube channel of Mazhavil Manorama.
The trailer gives a glimpse of Navya Nair as a married woman who has a son while her husband works abroad. Some unfortunate incidents have happened with her which prompted her to file a report at the Police Station.
Although not much has been revealed through the trailer, we can say that Navya Nair’s stellar performance has made her fans more enthusiastic about what the story film is going to offer.
Oruthee Release Date
Earlier, it was being claimed that the film will be released on Friday, March 18, 2022, but the makers of the movie have not made any official announcement regarding the release date. We will update the information as soon as they announce the release date.
Two songs titled Kannuneeril, sung by Bombay Jayashri and Kannadi Kayalinoram, sung by P. Jayachandran have already been released.
